U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, the 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, and the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Russell Smith, tour Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware, Feb. 8, 2022. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps conducted the visit to thank the service members responsible for receiving and caring for fallen service members. The Armed Forces Medical Examiner System provides the Department of Defense and other federal agencies comprehensive forensic investigative services, to include forensic pathology, DNA Forensics, forensic toxicology, and medical mortality surveillance.
