The 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, tours the Intrepid Center at the Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, July 20, 2021. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps conducted the tour to get an update on the research and recovery facilities that support Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, San Antonio detachment. Wounded Warrior Battalion supports recovery, and non-medical care of combat and non-combat wounded, ill, and injured Marines, and sailors attached to Marine units, and their family members in order to maximize their recovery as they return to duty or transition to civilian life.
