The 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, addresses Marines at the Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, San Antonio detachment at the Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, July 20, 2021. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps spoke to the Marines and staff to share with them his perspective as the senior most enlisted Marine in the Marine Corps. Wounded Warrior Battalion supports recovery, and non-medical care of combat and non-combat wounded, ill, and injured Marines, and sailors attached to Marine units, and their family members in order to maximize their recovery as they return to duty or transition to civilian life.
