The 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, tours Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302 (HMHT-302) at Marine Corps Air Station New River, Nc, Feb. 18, 2021. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps conducted the visit to hear recommendations regarding force maturity and retention from the leadership responsible for the initial and follow-on training of various military occupations specialties related to the CH-53E Super Stallion. HMHT-302 conducts combat capable helicopter flight training for all CH-53E Super Stallion Marine Corps pilots and aircrew. All basic, conversion and refresher pilots as well as aircrew receive assault support training in the CH-53E to prepare them for follow on assignment in the Fleet Marine Force.
