The Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. David H. Berger, and the 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black lay a wreath at the base of the Marine Corps War Memorial in honor of the 75th anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima, the ceremony took place in Arlington, V.A., Feb. 27, 2020. The Marine Corps hosted the ceremony to honor the veterans of World War II with speeches by Gen. Berger and the Sgt. Maj. Black.
