On August 1st, 2025, U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2nd Marine Logistics Group, around the globe will celebrate 81 years of tactical logistical support to the II Marine Expeditionary Force area of operations. 2nd MLG provides tactical logistic support to II MEF and provides task organized logistics combat elements in support of Marine Air-Ground Task Force operations. U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), undergo a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) at U.S. Coast Guard Base Sector Key West, Florida, July 18 to Aug. 1, 2025.
